(Lynnfield, MA) – Congressman John Tierney, who has a record of voting against small business, proves himself to be more interested in partisanship than job creation in attacking the United States Chamber of Commerce.
“There are over 600,000 small businesses in Massachusetts responsible for creating millions of jobs, and unlike John Tierney, Nancy Pelosi and President Obama, I know they built their companies, not the government. The Chamber of Commerce is one of the greatest institutions in America, because it is the voice of America’s job creators, representing mom and pop stores to manufacturing plants like GE, we need to work with them to get America back on track,” said Richard Tisei. “John Tierney once again shows himself to be a strident partisan rather than a representative interested in free enterprise when he attacks the job creators who make up the Chamber of Commerce. Whereas my opponent has stood opposed to reform at every turn, I will look for creative solutions to get Americans back to work.
“I was proud to work with business leaders during my tenure in the Massachusetts Legislature in reducing unnecessary and unwise regulations, cutting taxes and find building relationships that helped create new jobs. In Congress, I will continue my bipartisan record of working with business leaders to build the right solution for the American people.”
